Videographers
And 3 levels of media accreditation:
Gold (for National level media)
Silver (for State level media)
Bronze (for club level media)
NASR media accreditation is designed to
signify to track operators who is actively
working and being published in speedway and
motor racing media outlets and at what level.
A list of all media and their corresponding
level and main publication/s will be sent to
all NASR insured tracks and posted on the NASR
web site www.nasr.com.au/media.
In support of your application the following
must be provided:
1. A letter of accreditation provided on an
official letterhead signed by an authorised
representative who endorses the application
such as an editor. This recommendation is to
ensure that the organisation is providing a
representative who they believe will offer a
tangible service to them, to NASR and to the
sport in general.
No letter, no accreditation.
2. Copies of 4 published written articles or
photos published from 4 events by the
applicant, demonstrating positive support
towards speedway and NASR. See criteria below:
Gold: Copies of published work from 4 National
meetings such as Australian Championships or
National Series (from at least 3 interstate
tracks).
Please note: Gold Accreditation is designed to
assist working members of the media to cover
race meetings on a National basis. It
indicates a higher degree of professionalism
in a commercial sense and that the journalists
or photographers work is being published in
national motor sport publications on a regular
basis. Attendance at a number of national

and their work is currently being published.
Whilst not limiting the journalists or
photographer to operations within their own
state, they need to show venue operators,
event organizers or promoters at interstate
meetings that they have an assignment, which
requires their presence and appropriate
accreditation; and/or are striving to gain
further experience in order to achieve Gold
accreditation.
Bronze: Copies of published work from 4 Club
meetings at your local track or local area.
Please note: Bronze Accreditation is designed
to assists working members of the media to
cover race meetings on a local basis. It is an
entry-level category and indicates the
journalists or photographer is competent and
active at a club or local level.
On review of these NASR will determine the
applicant’s suitability for Gold, Silver or
Bronze Accreditation. An Officials Licence can
be obtained for writers, photographers or
videographers who do not supply material for
media coverage, such as services for
competitors.
3. For anyone who has not previously been
accredited, a passport style photo needs to be
attached to the application.
4. Media representatives will have to obtain
NASR Officials Membership, which includes
Personal Accident Insurance Cover. (The cost
of which is included on the application form).
Please Note:
Media representatives must make contact with
the speedway promoters/track operators at
least one week prior to attending an event to
obtain permission to attend the event. Please
note: the earlier the better.
Specific requirements regarding coverage of
the meeting and access to certain areas should
be discussed at the time of contacting the
track.
In the case of attending a major event,
promoters may request to view a copy of any
articles written or photographs taken about
the corresponding event from the previous
year; and/or fill out the tracks own media
accreditation form. It is the discretion of
the track operator/promoter to allow access of
media personnel to specified areas and how
many media members from each publication will
be allowed access to these areas.
Members of the media holding NASR media
accreditation or officials licence must
conduct their duties in a professional manner
and be considerate of fellow colleagues
covering events.
