Fox Sports have announced that the
long running Chequered Flag motorsport program will move to
Wednesday nights when the new series gets underway next month. As a
result, there are changes to the announced broadcast schedule for
the fifth-anniversary 2009/2010 Carline Mufflers National Super
Sedan Series. These changes only relate to the broadcasting schedule
and have no impact on the amount of coverage, with six rounds of the
series to be televised across Australia. The extensive package will
incorporate five 60-minute programs on the national Fox Sport
network and a 30-minute highlights package on the free-to-air SBS
network.
The first program in the series will be seen nationally on Fox
Sport on December 30 and will incorporate an extensive one-hour
series preview, technical features, interviews and feature stories.
Program number two, which will be screened two weeks later on
January 13, will feature a review of the opening two rounds from
Rockhampton and Gympie as well as racing highlights from round three
in Toowoomba.
The third program will be screened on January 27 featuring a
review of round four from Dubbo and the opening round of the
Tri-City Series from Hamilton's Western Speedway, along with all the
best racing action from the remaining Tri-City rounds in Mount
Gambier and Warrnambool.
Program number four, to be aired on February 24, will feature a
progressive series review and highlights of the racing action from
round 8 at Geelong's Avalon Raceway.
The final Fox Sport broadcast, scheduled for March 17, will
feature wrap-up of the penultimate round at Speedway City and all
the action from the series Grand Final at Murray Bridge Speedway.
Complementing the Fox Sport coverage will be the 30-minute series
review on SBS that will feature a comprehensive re-cap of the all
the series action.
