A Promoter Representative
position will become available on the NASR Board at the next
Annual General Meeting scheduled for Adelaide on Sunday
October 18.
Long serving member Jeff Drew has declared his intention to
step down. “I have enjoyed every minute of my time on the
NASR Board and the great people I have worked with. I still
totally believe in NASR and think it is what we need for the
sport to move forward.
“I feel it is time for me to step aside and let someone else
have a go, however I would not rule out stepping back on
after a few years time,” said Drew.
Drew has a long family history in promoting the Avalon
Raceway in Geelong, which plays host to international,
national and state titles plus many feature events for all
classes since 1976. Jeff also operates a successful family
plumbing business.
NASR would like to thank Jeff for his valuable contribution
and Chairman Neil Sayer praised his efforts over the years.
“We have all felt the benefits of Jeff’s dedication to the
sport of speedway and commitment to NASR. I thank Jeff for
his efforts and look forward to seeing him at Avalon this
season,” said Sayer.
