Purton To Start National Title

SSA Media Release

Kevin Purton will be a definite starter in the Speedway Sedans Australia, Fuso Truck and Bus, Australian Super Sedan Title, at the Bendigo Bank Arena, in Tasmania.

The two times Australian, and two times State Champion, did not compete in the Super Sedan Grand National at Mountain Dew Ice Raceway in Hobart last weekend, after sustaining a shoulder injury. Speculation has been justified in local media, that the Champion driver from Deloraine, was in doubt.

A fortnight ago, Purton won the forty lap Super Sedan Grand Prix at Latrobe, the home of the National Title.

"It is not 100%, but what do you do? My arm isn't going to fall off but its not good either", said Purton.

Asked whether he would practice tonight, Purton advised, "probably not", hinting that he would rest the shoulder as long as possible.

Purton won the last National Title held in Tasmania, also at the Latrobe venue.
