The
organizers of the Carline National
Super Sedan Series are excited to
announce Blue Ribbon Raceway at
Horsham has been locked in to host
the penultimate round of the 2008/09
Series on Friday 6 February, 2009.
In announcing the round, NASR
General Manager Tim McAvaney said
the location of the ninth round fits
in well, with the Grand Final
scheduled the following day at
Murray Bridge.
“Horsham has been a great supporter
of NASR for some time and with the
recent change of dates due to the
announcement of the Clipsal 500
dates and loss of Mildura from the
calendar as a consequence, it
provided a great opportunity to add
Horsham to the series”.
“It is a very well presented venue,
so fits in nicely with the image the
Carline NSSS strives for. The
addition also ensures the series
will be decided over ten rounds and
our budgets therefore stay in tact”,
explained McAvaney.
“It also gives drivers further
incentive to return for the final
weekend of racing, with two rounds
in as many days to finish the
series”.
Emma Hutchinson, Secretary Horsham
Motor Sports Club was pleased to
have secured a round of the national
series. "The Horsham Motor Sports
Club is very excited to come on
board for the 2008/2009 Carline
National Super Sedan Series. We are
currently upgrading our facilities
and having the National Super Sedans
is a great way to showcase our new
improvements on the National Scene.
Over the off-season we have also
made improvements to our track
surface and can't wait to see the
Super Sedans in action at Horsham."
With the series now a mere 15 weeks
away, series organisers are gearing
up with more announcements to
follow, including the contracted
driver profiles, series associate
sponsors and other planned
promotional initiatives.
