The opening
night of the
season in the
Metabo Modified
Production
Series at
Geraldton in
Western
Australia,
produced mixed
results for
Fraser Brothers
Racing.
Peter Fraser
started the
series well,
with a solid
showing
finishing third
overall with 110
points, while
Rob Fraser
finished seventh
in opening round
with 51 points.
Peter And Rob
have committed
to the full
eight round
series, and as
Rob gets a
handle on his
car, experts
predict that he
will be the
major hope of
Ford fans, with
the Holden
powered cars
currently
dominating the
Metabo series.
Peter will be
one of the
favourites this
year, in his
Civil Hire
sponsored EL
Falcon, and
continues to
perform strongly
and was
untouchable at
some tracks last
year. FBR also
has a Junior
driver with Josh
Fraser, who also
had a great
weekend in the
New Star Junior
Sedan evnets,
showing
Geraldton
drivers thew way
home.
This week FBR
are making the
long haul to
Esperance, the
venue for the
upcoming West
Australian
Modfied
Production Sedan
Championships.
This may become
an advantage as
the Metabo
series does not
visit experience
prior to the
Championship.
The brothers
Fraser, will
come against
locals Neville
Mansted and Kyle
Lance in
Esperance and
will be looking
competitive
results.
The second round
of the series
will be held at
the picturesque
venue of
Margaret River
on Saturday, 13
December 2008
