In front of a
very big crowd,
the sixth round
of the WA Super
Sedan Summer
Series was held
at Les Gorman
Park, Mt Barker
in the Great
Southern of
Western
Australia this
afternoon.
Rick Musarra of
Kalgoorlie, won
a spirited and
exciting Feature
race which was
full of action
early. Wayne
Coleman was the
first to crash
out on the
opening corner,
leaving the home
crowd
dissappointed,
after Coleman
drove
brilliantly
earlier in the
program, winning
one of the heat
races. Gary
Higgs, crashed
at the end of
lap one and
joined Coleman
on the infield.
Musarra led the
final all the
way, on a slick
track, which
made passing
very difficult,
and in the
process won his
second round of
the series,
joining Gary
Higgs who has
also won two,
while Peter
Lyall and Marc
Giancola have
won the others.
Dustin Higgs
drove a great
race to follow
Musarra across
the line, while
father Gary and
Kemble Aylett
filled the minor
placings.
Earlier in the
afternoon, the
heat racing was
fast and furious
with six
different
winners, from
the six
preliminaries.
Gary Higgs,
Wayne Coleman,
Rick Musarra,
Kemble Aylett,
Bill Gibbs and
Keith Higgs were
all successful
on a cold day,
at Les Gorman
Park.
A double header
faces the
drivers, with
the next two
rounds to be
contested at
Esperance and
Kalgoorlie, with
Esperance on
Friday, 5
December 2008,
followed by
Kalgoorlie the
night after.
