Current NSW Super
Sedan champion, Darren Kane has taken a
thrilling victory in the Heartland Motors –
Parramatta
Winternationals
at Sydney’s Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway.
Clayton Pyne placed second with Lismore’s
Tania Smith
third.
The race was run over a distance of 38 laps
after time became a factor and Kane took the
lead from a very impressive
Tania Smith on
lap eleven and was never headed from that point
on. Smith tried valiantly to hold onto second
place but
Clayton Pyne was just too strong with eighteen
laps remaining.
Fourth place was Matt Pascoe who spent a lot of
the race in catch-up mode and did a great job in
finishing where he did.
Rounding out
the top ten was Michael Halley from Queensland,
Mick Doblo also from Queensland, Michael Hickey,
Paul Kranitis,
Bernie Roberts and Victorian Ash Bergmeier.
