Shane Best last night won the fifteen lap Feature Race at Speedway City in South Australia, which was the first round of the JD Couriers Super Sedan Track Championships.

Thirteen cars were in attendance on the night with plenty of entertaining racing.

Chris Blunden won the opening heat of the series, holding on to defeat Steve Stewart and Dan Miller in a four lap restart.

Trevor Ware who finished seventh in the opener, successfully won heat two downing Bill Miller, with Colin Neville finishing third.

After a restart on lap three, Shane Best was able to hold the lead to win the final eight lap heat race to defeat Dan Miller and Tony Howlett. Bill Miller and Chris Blunden had a collision during the race, putting both on the infield.

The Final saw Steve Stewart start from pole position, with Dan Miller on his outsdie. Shane Best and Trevor Ware would start on the next row. Shane Best was sitting in third behind Steve Stewart for several laps, with Dan Miller well out in front. Once Best got past Steve Stewart he quickly made ground on Dan Miller, and they were having a very good tussle for the lead, until the last lap when going down the back straight Best got up on the inside of Dan Miller, when the pair clashed very hard with Best riding up over the left front bonnet of Miller with both cars coming to a stop.

Shane Best was declared the winner from Trevor Ware and Steve Stewart, while Dan Miller would finish in tenth position.

The second round of the JD Couriers Track Championship Series will be held on Saturday, 1 November 2008.
